My professional photography includes fine art, commercial, and documentary with a focus on historic and natural resource conservation projects.
My award winning images have been published in feature stories including New Hampshire Magazine, NH State Visitor’s Guide, The Weirs Times, The Nashua Telegraph, among many others.
I am a native New Hampshirite.

I grew up in a rural area and spent my most memorable moments learning about nature through my own observations.
I graduated with a AAS in Horticulture and a BS in Environmental Conservation with a minor in Wildlife Behavior, with both degrees obtained from UNH. I worked more than 15 years in the environmental field, including the US Forest Service, and a couple non-profits, and nearly 10 years with NHDES, when I lost my job due to the failing economy — which, surprisingly, became a two-page story in New Hampshire Magazine.
My love of photography had inspired me to start an environmentally sustainable greeting card business as a creative outlet from my full time job. I created photographic images of New Hampshire’s landscapes, historic places, and native flora and fauna. The cards are made in NH using 100% Recycled FSC Paper, manufactured using wind and water power, and are processed chlorine free. The back of the cards have detailed information including conservation status, local recipes, and anecdotes.
In 2007, Artemis was featured on ABC News with Diane Sawyer: Made in America Gift Ideas. (To learn more about Artemis Natural Resource Designs, LLC, please visit my other website at: www.anrdllc.com)
Today, I am creating photo documentaries of preservationists physically working to preserve New Hampshire’s special places. I also create custom designed sustainable photographic products for clients, including cards, prints, books, and puzzles which are sold in gift shops around the state.
In between these projects, I’m traveling around New England and looking for that perfect shot to display at my fine art exhibitions and shows.
I like meeting folks and hearing their stories about the connections and experiences they may have to the special places I photograph.
Am I rich? Nope. Am I happy? Yes. I love being a photographer and a small business owner.
Thank you for visiting.
