Oh, Snap! What is that in the Woods?

Earlier this week I crossed paths with this big snapping turtle!

A large snapping turtle digging into the sandy soil to create a nest to deposit her eggs.


A large female snapping turtle, about 35-40 years old, walks on land to find a sandy location to make a nest and deposit her eggs.
