Wildlife Tracking: Turkey Treats

Posted on by Kathie Fife

There are no secrets in winter.

After a brief but heavy snow shower this morning I went for walk in the woods. This time of year it is a treat to get a fresh dusting of fluffy snow for wildlife tracking. The cold night made the snow hard like ice after a heavy thaw yesterday. It was perfect conditions for tracking. I found this story where a turkey walked up to young beech tree and ate a few buds. (See inset for detail of buds).
